BIO
Gifted poetess and songstress Rita E. Bond, blesses the hearts of many through her deep, abiding love for God, people, and her poignantly crafted, inspirational poetry.

An unrecognized gift from God, as a young child, Rita began writing poetry to express her feelings—often turning her writings into songs. After accepting Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior, her gift blossomed and it continues to impact, encourage, and inspire readers from all walks of life today. Rita attributes her poetry inspiration to her late mother, Mrs. Alethia Marion Smith, who was often requested to render her eloquent gift of reciting poetry.

Rita’s educational background in biblical studies has further complemented her gifts, wisdom, and talents. While living in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area, she attended Givens Bible College. Rita is also a 2000 Summa Cum Laude graduate of Calvary Bible College in Hampton, Virginia.
As an author, Rita has participated in various book signings at Heaven and Earth Christian Book Store, Agape Christion Book Store and Borders Book Store, and at various special community events. In 2011, she graciously received a personal invitation to participate in the annual black artists and writers New Bern Book Festival at Tryon Square in New Bern, North Carolina.

Rita and her husband, Edward serve as coordinators and facilitators in the Family Foundations International (FFI) Ministry headquartered in Littleton, Colorado. FFI Ministry offers a variety of seminars that help transform the lives of people around the world. Rita and Edward assist with facilitating these seminars in their hometown. Rita currently resides in Newport News, Virginia with her wonderful husband Edward.
